To help protect your jewellery, we recommend that you:

• Apply perfume, hairspray, lotions and cosmetics before putting on your jewellery.
• Remove jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming or entering a sauna.
• Avoid wearing jewellery while exercising, sleeping or carrying out household tasks.
• Keep jewellery away from cleaning products, chlorine, salt water and harsh chemicals.
• Handle delicate chains, clasps and stones carefully.
• Remove jewellery before using hand sanitiser where direct contact is likely.

How to Clean Your Jewellery

After wearing your jewellery, gently wipe it with a clean, soft and dry lint-free cloth. This helps remove oils, moisture and product residue from the surface.

Avoid abrasive cloths, rough brushes, toothpaste, baking soda, household cleaners and chemical jewellery dips unless the product instructions specifically confirm they are safe for the materials used in your piece.

Do not soak jewellery unless it is specifically described as suitable for water exposure.

Gold-Plated Jewellery

Gold-plated jewellery features a layer of gold applied over a base metal. The finish may naturally change over time depending on frequency of wear, skin chemistry, storage and exposure to moisture or chemicals.

To help preserve gold-plated jewellery:

• Keep it dry and avoid prolonged contact with water.
• Do not use polishing compounds or abrasive cleaning products.
• Wipe gently after each wear.
• Store each piece separately to reduce friction and scratching.

Silver-Tone Jewellery

Silver-tone jewellery may become dull or discoloured over time due to air, moisture, cosmetics and individual skin chemistry.

Gently wipe the piece with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. Avoid aggressive polishing, particularly where the item has a plated or decorative finish.

Stones, Pearls & Decorative Details

Stones, imitation pearls, enamel and decorative finishes should be handled with extra care. They may be sensitive to impact, heat, moisture and chemicals.

• Avoid dropping jewellery onto hard surfaces.
• Do not pull or twist stone settings and decorative components.
• Keep pearls and delicate stones away from perfume, hairspray and cleaning products.
• Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth.

Natural stones may vary slightly in colour, pattern and appearance. These variations are part of their individual character and are not usually considered faults.

Chains & Necklaces

Fasten necklace clasps before storing to help prevent tangling. Lay chains flat or hang them individually where possible.

Avoid pulling chains, wearing them during sleep or storing several delicate necklaces together without separation.

When putting on or removing a necklace, hold the clasp rather than pulling the chain or pendant.

Earrings

Handle earring posts, hooks and closures gently. Avoid applying excessive pressure when opening or closing hinged components.

Wipe earrings after wearing and store each pair together in a clean, dry compartment.

For hygiene, do not share earrings and ensure piercings are fully healed before wearing new jewellery.

How to Store Your Jewellery

Correct storage can help reduce scratches, tangling, moisture exposure and changes to the finish.

• Store jewellery in a cool, clean and dry place.
• Keep pieces inside a jewellery pouch, box or separate compartment.
• Avoid storing jewellery in direct sunlight or humid areas such as bathrooms.
• Keep necklaces fastened and stored separately.
• Do not place heavy items on top of delicate jewellery.

Travelling with Jewellery

When travelling, place each piece in a separate soft pouch or jewellery compartment. Fasten chains and secure earrings before packing.

Keep valuable jewellery in your hand luggage where possible and avoid leaving it unattended in public areas.

When Not to Wear Your Jewellery

For longer-lasting wear, remove jewellery before:

• Sleeping
• Exercising
• Cleaning
• Gardening
• Using beauty treatments or chemical products

Normal Wear

Small surface marks, gradual changes in shine and natural wear to plated finishes may occur over time. The rate of wear depends on how often the jewellery is worn and how it is cared for.
